How to transpose a song
Paste your chords into the box. It understands chord lines (C G Am F) and lyrics with chords in square brackets ([C]Twinkle twinkle). Press +1 or −1 to move the song up or down a semitone at a time, choose sharps or flats, and copy the result.
Using the capo calculator
Choose the key you want the song to sound in. The table shows which chord shapes to play and which fret to put the capo on, so you can keep using easy open shapes such as C, G, D, A and E in any key.

Does it change the lyrics?
No. Only chords are changed; lyrics and other text stay exactly as they are.
