The journey

From first lesson to Grade 8, if you want it

Every student follows a mapped journey with regular assessments, so you always know the next step. Graded exams with ISoM, RSL Rockschool and Trinity College London are there when you are ready, and entirely optional.

BeginnerBasics of Music 1: posture, technique, rhythm and your first songs. Ages 3+, with two lessons a week for children under 11.

FoundationBasics of Music 2: scales, chords, simple pieces and ear training, plus your first recital or Jam'In.

Grades Initial to 3Grade Education Program: exam pieces, technical work, sight-reading and aural tests with ISoM, RSL Rockschool or Trinity. Ages 6+.

Grades 4 and 5Wider repertoire, stylistic control and music theory, performing regularly at our recitals.

Grades 6 to 8Performers Program: advanced repertoire, stage presence and ensemble work, on a mapped journey with regular assessments. Ages 12+.

For children

Music classes for kids in Sushant Lok

Our K-12 Programme is built for how children actually learn: Montessori-led, playful and structured, for ages 3 to 12. Children start with rhythm, singing and listening, then pick a first instrument: piano, guitar, ukulele, drums or voice.

Lessons are 30 minutes, twice a week, with interactive assessments and a progress report every quarter, and children perform at recitals from their very first year.

Where exactly is Origin Story?

Building 65, Block B, opposite Vipul Square, Sushant Lok Phase I, Sector 43, Gurugram 122002, minutes from Golf Course Road.

What are the timings?

Monday to Friday, 12:00 to 9:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.

How old do you have to be?

We teach from age 3 to 73 and beyond. Children start in our K-12 Programme; adults are welcome at any level, including complete beginners.

Do you have music classes for kids in Sushant Lok?

Yes. Our K-12 Programme is Montessori-led music for ages 3 to 12, with Prism's curriculum, quarterly progress reports and recitals from year one. Children can learn piano, guitar, ukulele, drums or singing.

Is there a jam session at Origin Story?

Yes. Students play at recitals and jam nights through the year, from their first term.

Is the demo really free?

Yes. A short free demo with one of our teachers, with no obligation to enrol.

Can we take graded exams?
